This page will aim to keep you up to speed on all that's occuring in the Geigertek world with regard to music releases, website updates and anything else that we can think of. We'll be aiming to keep the updates coming as things happen (or don't happen!!!), so please keep coming back!!! Geigertek hope that you'll enjoy your visit to this site as well as the music. ::: ANOTHER STUDIO/EQUIPMENT UPDATE ::: In addition to the recent additions of the Roland D20 synthesizer and Korg M3r rackmount sound module, a Roland U220 rackmount sound module Evolution MK261 MIDI keyboard have also been aquired. Again, these will not necessarily play a part within the studio, but will be a part of the live performance setup that Neil will be undertaking later in the year. More details on the new equipment soon. ::: STUDIO/EQUIPMENT UPDATE ::: In readiness for live performance work and as additions to the studio, a Roland D20 synthesizer and a Korg M3r rackmount sound module have been aquired. Whilst these can't be seen as state of the art pieces of equipment these days, they will be sufficient tools to get out of the studio and out into the gigging circuit later in the year. More details on the new equipment soon. ::: THE GARDEN AND LIVE PERFORMANCE UPDATE ::: Mastering work has now been completed on the first Geigertek album, "The Garden", due to be released through AD Music with a provisional release date of September 2008, in both digital download and CDr formats. This ten-track release has been mastered by leading electronic music composer, David Wright in his Suffolk-based Planet Recording Studio. The album now has a much more polished sound. Work is now well and truly under-way for preparations for the first live Geigertek performance supporting David Wright in September 2008. The recent aquisition of two synthesizers has put Neil well and truly on the path to putting together a live ambient set. More details soon. ::: E-LIVE HOLLAND OCTOBER 2008 ::: On the 11th October 2008, Neil will joining David Wright on the AD Music stand during the E-Live Electronic Music Festival, being held in Eindhoven, Holland. This will quite an event with the headlining acts as follows: RADIO MASSACRE INTERNATIONAL There is a fourth head-lining act yet to be confirmed. Further details about E-Live can be found HERE ::: "THE GARDEN" UPDATE ::: Things are progressing nicely with the impending release of the first Geigertek album "The Garden". Over the next week, final mixing and mastering of the album will be carried out by David Wright and Neil Fellowes using the former's "Planet Studio" in Suffolk, in preparation for an initial digital release. More news very soon on this. ::: BATTLE OF THE BANDS, BECCLES, SUFFOLK, 10TH MAY 2008 ::: This coming Saturday 10th May 2008, Neil will be joining top U.K. electronic musician, David Wright and others to help with judging at the Beccles Battle of the Bands competition!!! More details of the event can be found HERE. This should be a fun night out for all :-) :: DEBUT GEIGERTEK LIVE PERFORMANCE :: The first Geigertek live performance will be as support act to leading U.K. electronic musician/composer, David Wright. The details are as follows: David Wright and Friends in Concert - An evening of ambient electronica and space music Support act: Geigertek Date: Sunday 14th September 2008 Live performance was not something that was a part of the original Geigertek agenda, so this is certainly a new direction for the project.
